WINNERS OF #LOVE SOUTH TYNESIDE 2024
New Hope North East are proud to be the winners of two #LoveSouthTyneside Awards at this year’s ceremony!
On 11 th July 2024, the team at New Hope attended the annual #LoveSouthTyneside Awards ceremony at The Customs House. The awards celebrate civic pride and community spirit across South Tyneside, and recognise individuals and organisations that go the extra mile to help people in the local community. The New Hope team were honoured to receive the Supporting Others award, which celebrates people who volunteer their time to support people in times of need.
Our founder and CEO, Elizabeth Sunduzwayo, also received the Above and Beyond award – which celebrates those who bring something extra special to their job that is recognised by customers and colleagues. Speaking of Elizabeth’s win, the #LoveSouthTyneside awards team wrote, “the judges wanted us to celebrate Elizabeth’s role in creating a place where all children are loved, valued, safeguarded, and treated equally with dignity regardless of their disability. Elizabeth plays a key role in helping them thrive in a safe world free from segregation, marginalisation, deprivation, and social exclusion”.
We are delighted to have received these two awards in acknowledgement of everyone’s hard work, commitment, and determination to improve the lives of local children and young people. Well done and congratulations to Elizabeth, and our staff and volunteers at New Hope North East who’ve dedicated their time and energy!
